Did you know that Ohio Worker’s Compensation still uses the fifth edition of The AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment?  We have compared the outcomes on several clients using a side-by-side comparison of the fifth and sixth edition of “the Guides” in several cases.  The results may surprise you!  The sixth edition is more concise allowing for more inter-rater reliability, and often results in higher values of impairment than the fifth edition. 

At CIME Ohio, we will use whatever version of the Guides that your jurisdiction requires.  If, anytime, you would like to compare the two outcomes on any client, we can prepare a report for both the 5th and 6th edition evaluations.  Your client always comes first with us!
